BIO
Born in Barcelona in 1993, Alba Tejero majored in filmmaking at ESCAC (Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya). In 2016, she directed her first short film, Elgía (Elegy), which was preselected for the 32nd Edition of the Premios Goya (The Spanish Academy Awards) and the Xth Edition of the Premis Gaudí (The Catalan Academy Awards). The short film was also selected at several renowned festivals such as the Uppsala Short Film Festival, the Leeds International Film Festival, the New Orleans Film Festival, the Nashville Film Festival, the Aesthetica Short Film Festival, the Odense International Short Film Festival and the Semana del Cine de Medina del Campo, amongst others. It garnered a total of 13 awards and 83 selections.
Besides her work as a filmmaker, between 2013 and 2023 she has worked in over a dozen audiovisual projects as a 2nd Assistant Director and Script. Most recently, she has worked as 2nd Assistant Director in the film "El Fred Que Crema", "Esperando a Dalí","Un Cel de Plom", and "Loli Tormenta", as well as in the Apple TV Mini Series "Land of Women".
She has also worked as Project Manager for the Documentary "Made in China· and as part of the Creative Development Team of the Drama Series project "Pharaoh".
